Welcome - I’m so glad you’re here.

You don’t have to navigate it all on your own. Life can feel overwhelming—whether you're carrying the weight of heavy or complicated emotions, experiencing relationship challenges, facing major life changes, or having a hard time managing everyday responsibilities. Some people come to therapy hoping to better understand deep emotional patterns; others are looking for practical tools to get unstuck and move forward. Many find healing in a blend of both. Whatever brings you here, I offer a warm, inclusive, and culturally responsive space where all parts of you are welcome. This is a place to feel seen, supported, and empowered—no matter your background, identity, or lived experience. You don’t have to have it all figured out—being here is a powerful beginning. I look forward to walking with you on your path toward healing and self-discovery.

    Executive Function Coaching

If you struggle with procrastination, disorganization, time management, or motivation, you’re not alone. These challenges are often tied to executive functioning skills, which affect how we plan, initiate, and follow through on daily tasks. Executive function coaching offers practical, judgment-free support for building skills that help daily life feel more manageable.

This service can be especially helpful for adults with ADHD, high demands at work or school, or anyone feeling overwhelmed by tasks and responsibilities. We’ll work together to:

    Improve organization and task initiation

    Strengthen time management and prioritization

Create routines and systems that work for you

Reduce shame and self-blame around productivity challenges

Executive function coaching can be offered on its own or alongside therapy, depending on your goals.

About me

Hi! I’m Amber—it’s a pleasure to meet you.

I have a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and I’m passionate about creating a safe, affirming space where healing, growth, and self-discovery can unfold on your terms.

Over the years, I have had the honor of supporting clients navigating a wide range of concerns and experiences. I have also had the privilege of working with adults from many different walks of life in a mix of mental health care environments. These experiences have shaped the way I show up as a therapist: with warmth, curiosity, and a deep respect for the ways your story, culture, identities, and the world around you all influence your mental health.

My Approach:

Therapy with me is collaborative and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from interpersonal, psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral (CBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) approaches to support both deep insight and meaningful, actionable change. This means we’ll explore how your past relationships and experiences shape your present, while also building practical strategies and tools to help you move forward with clarity and confidence in your everyday life.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy focuses on understanding your emotions, relationships, and past experiences—and also includes learning practical tools to support your goals and well-being.

Coaching, on the other hand, is more focused on day-to-day strategies like improving organization, motivation, and follow-through.

Some people benefit from one approach, while others find value in both. We can figure out what’s the right fit for you together.

  • Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

I offer both virtual and in-person sessions, depending on your preference and availability.

In-person sessions take place in the Financial District close to the Fulton Street station.

  • How often will we meet?

Therapy sessions are usually once per week and last 50 minutes.

Coaching typically starts with two sessions per week and may include brief check-ins during the week for added support. Over time, we can adjust the frequency based on your needs, goals, and progress.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I’m an out-of-network provider, which means I don’t bill insurance directly. However, I can provide a superbill (receipt) for therapy sessions that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. I’ll walk you through how that works if you’re interested.

  • What can I expect during the free consultation?

The 15-minute phone or video consultation is a chance for us to connect, talk briefly about what you’re looking for, and see if working together feels like a good fit. There’s no pressure—just space to ask questions and explore next steps.

  • Is this the right space for me?

If you’re looking for a thoughtful, inclusive space to feel supported—whether through deeper exploration or focused strategies—I’d love to connect. You’re welcome here exactly as you are.
